  • Submission and Special issue publication (NHESS)

Were are pleased to inform that a Special issue of NHESS - Natural Hazards and Earth System Sciences (http://www.natural-hazards-and-earth-system-sciences.net/) will be devoted to the publication of the extended abstracts presented at the Conference. NHESS is an open access journal that has a 1.792 impact factor and 1.886 5-Year impact factor (ISI Web of Knowledge, Journal Citation Report 2010).

The extended abstracts must be focused on the six available themes 

1. Water resources and water management. 

2. Water quality and hydrobiology.

3. Environmental policies and social impacts. 

4. Operational and dynamic hydrology. Ecohydrology. 

5. Soil degradation and soil quality. Soil functions and Land Use. 

6. Earth System Science, climate change and extreme events.

and must have 10 pages maximum (after final editing: example available at www.nat-hazards-earth-syst-sci.net/10/2539/2010/). Only the studies actually presented at the meeting will be considered for publication in the Special issue.

Authors can submit their contributions by using the online registration form on the NHESS website: http://www.natural-hazards-and-earth-system-sciences.net/submission/manuscript_submission.html. The NEW DEADLINE for submission is 29 Feb 2012. During the registration process it is important that the correct special issue is chosen. The editor call is based on a "First Come - First Served" basis.

After the submission, the resumes will be subject to peer-review by the guest editors and external referees, and only the most relevant papers in each theme will be publish in the Special Issue
